Cruising the Out Islands

The weather this winter has been a lot milder and has allowed us to do some overnight cruising each week.

In addition, we took a one-week cruise, covering an area of approximately 50 miles, stopping at Treasure, Green Turtle, Manjack and Allans-Pennsacola Cays, all north of Marsh Harbour.

We spent two days in Green Turtle Cay (GTC), renting a golf cart with another couple who was cruising with us.

The Sea of Abaco was extremely calm during some of the travel;  we were able to clearly see the bottom, which made for some interesting sites.

We then traveled south of Marsh Harbour to Tiloo Cay.  On the ocean side of Tiloo is a beach known as “Junk Beach”.  This is the best beach in the area to find sea glass and sea beans.  The pictures speak for themselves……

Our last night was spent in Hopetown, where we went to Captain Jack’s Restaurant to play bingo while we ate dinner.  We enjoyed our week of cruising with Mary and Roger on Teamwork, which is a sister ship to Duetto.
